Our Marketing Manager, Andrea Manseau, spent a few hours at Perfecto’s Cafe in Andover, MA paying for the orders of people she didn’t know. Even though a few people were skeptical about getting something for FREE with no strings attached, Andrea was able to brighten the day for 20+ people.
Emily Sweeney, Universal Banker, from our Plymouth Branch purchased ten $10 gift cards to hand out at Dunkin Donuts! There was even an encounter where a woman was very hesitant to accept the gift card at first but then explained she moved here recently from NY and claimed “You never get anything free in NY! This is amazing!” Everyone was very grateful!
Vivian Mendes, Financial Service Representative, from our Fairhaven Branch went to Dunkin Donuts and had an amazing encounter when one elderly gentleman said “in my 80 years no one has ever done something like this for me” and gave Vivian a big hug! Such an awesome heartwarming moment!
Kathy Resmini, Member Support Representative, went to Good Samaritans Hospital to deliver a beautiful bouquet of flowers to nurses there! Robert Pope, Maintenance/Courier, went out to Holy Family Hospital to deliver gorgeous flowers for the nurses there! Terry Melo, Member Support Representative, also made her way to Morton Hospital to deliver flowers specifically to the first floor nurses station who helped take care of her late mother. The nurses were all very appreciative of the gesture and we are so happy we could deliver some smiles to well deserving nurses!
Christine Doucette, Seabrook’s Branch Manager, Kelly Gallant, Financial Services Representative, Mary Aliquo, Financial Services Representative, and Digna Jhonson, Community Liaison Manager, handed out flowers to random people at Seabrook Commons in Seabrook, NH. They received many surprised looks, smiles and hugs in exchange!
Theresa Hayes, Director of Marketing and Online Channels, and Coral Ferreira, BSA Compliance Coordinator, went out Monday morning to Cumberland Farms in Bridgewater, MA to help pay for customers’ coffees, snacks and other purchases! Everyone was super appreciative and it sure helped brighten up a lot of peoples’ mornings!
Digna Jhonson, Community Liaison Manager, and Yean-Ai Long, VP Marketing, had fun surprising people by picking up their breakfast tab at Eli’s Place Breakfast Diner in Lawrence, MA! The recipients were happy, appreciative and left with full stomachs!
Debbee Herron, Training Specialist, and Jen Ortiz, Compliance Officer, paid $200.00 towards a woman’s grocery bill at Market Basket in North Andover and then helped her load her groceries into her car. Zobeida Duarte, Call Center Supervisor, and Ivana Caminero, Call Center Representative, also paid for groceries at Market Basket in Methuen. One of the surprised recipients was a veteran who was very happy for this kind gesture!
Rose Seeley, Teller, headed out to Market Basket in Bridgewater to help buy peoples’ groceries, as well! She had one older woman claim that “no one had ever done that for her before!” Rose even was able to buy someone’s son’s birthday cake which made the recipient extra happy! Rhonda Morrison, Teller Operations Supervisor, went to the Brockton Market Basket and was able to buy groceries for a man whose wife usually does the shopping so he was thrilled!
Amanda Prew, Mortgage Loan Originator, and Wendy Guarino, Mortgage Underwriter Manager, ordered a giant lunch consisting of calzones, pasta, and cookies from Georgio’s for the Bridgewater Police Department! All of the officers were super thankful and many of them were also members!
Jennifer Reyes, Teller III, delivered a bag full of gloves, hats and scarfs to Lazarus House to be given to some of the homeless in the Lawrence, MA area.
Yariel Alvarez, Teller Operations Supervisor, and Digna Jhonson, Community Liaison Manager, visited Duffy’s Dinner in Haverhill and paid for lunch for 4 different couples. One of the couples “The Coons,” were there celebrating their 57th wedding anniversary! They were happy to share with them how they met, and were so grateful to have their tab taken care of on such a special date for them.
Marilyn Surita, Mortgage Processor, and Emily Gabin, Mortgage Loan Administrator, delivered pet food to the MSPCA in Methuen. They were well received and even got to pose with a cute dog (Lucky!!) Linda Brackett, Mortgage Loan Originator, also brought bags of cat food to the Lakeville Animal Shelter to help out with their “Cat Colony”!
Jessica Demayo, Accounting/GL Specialist, Jan White, AVP Finance, and Michael Valley, SVP CFO and Treasurer, delivered breakfast to the North Andover Police and Fire Stations and brought a smile to many faces!
Tony Marino, Sr. VP Retail Banking & Operations, brought yummy sandwiches and chips from Borelli’s Italian Deli to the Fire station and Police station in Lawrence, MA.
Rhonda McElhinney, Call Center Representative, visited the Quincy Police Department with 20 boxes of pizza and drinks!
Jon Bewsher, Jr., Fairhaven Branch Manager, headed out to the Fairhaven Police Department and Fire Department to deliver a delicious order of Riccardis! He made sure to even pack some water bottles and extra supplies that they may need!
Bob Cabral, VP Consumer Lending Manager, and Linda Brackett, Mortgage Loan Originator, visited the East Bridgewater Police Department and the Bridgewater Fire Department to deliver some yummy New York Pizza!
Steve Owens, Plymouth Branch Manager, and Wendy Riccardo, Teller Operations Supervisor, also delivered boxes of delicious food from Panera to the Plymouth Police Department!
Wendy Moreau, Methuen Branch Manager, and Jackie LaPorte, Financial Services Representative, visited the Marsh Grammar school, The Tenney and Timony Grammar Schools and treated the staff to some delicious cookies and pastries. The staff from each schools were very excited to see us there with cookies and desserts. We thanked them all for what they do for the families and children in the community.
Patricia Cahill, Sr. Commercial Loan Administrator, visited Lawrence General Hospital where she delivered a beautiful basket to a new mom. It was an emotional experience and the new mother was very thankful for the gift!
Lora Dirasuyan, Deposit Operations Specialist, Missy Bouchard, ACH Coordinator, and Sharon Hanson, Senior Member Support Representative, visited the Maternity Department at Brockton Hospital to deliver baskets filled with newborn essentials for their Healthy Beginnings program. This program was designed to help low-income expecting and new moms get a healthy start in both their baby’s and their own life!
Jon Bewsher Jr., Fairhaven Branch Sales & Service manager, and Jo-Ann Taylor, Teller Operations Supervisor, stopped by the Fairhaven Learning House and Ms. Ashley’s Day Care in Mattapoisett to deliver a basket of toys and supplies! The kids couldn’t wait to play with the new toys which put a big smile on all of our faces!
Lynne Raney, Universal Banker in Quincy, took time this morning to bring goodies and treats to the teachers and staff at Mary E. Flaherty School in Braintree to show our appreciation for their dedication and impact that they make in their students’ lives!
Jakia Lopes, Collector, visited the New Bedford Boys and Girls Club to hand out gift cards to the hard-working employees that work there!
Amanda Prew, Mortgage Originator, and Wendy Guarino, Mortgage Underwriter Manager, visited two separate locations to perform their Random Acts of Kindness! Their first stop was at Father Bill’s & Mainspring Homeless Shelter in Brockton to deliver warm clothing for the upcoming chilly months! They then stopped by the Bridgewater Fire Department Station 2 to deliver a delicious warm lunch on this rainy Thursday!
Carrie Fitzgerald, Manager of our Plaistow Branch, had a great experience at the Veterans Outreach Center in Haverhill. She gave them a $75 Market Basket gift card to have a feast at their Patriots game party at the hall on Sunday. At the party, they will have also have 10 drawings for the chance to walk away with one of 6 $10 Market Basket gift cards or 4 Patriots shirts!
Christine Doucette, Seabrook Branch Manager, and Digna Jhonson, Community Liaison Manager, went to Seabrook Elementary School and made a donation to help some families get caught up on overdue lunch tabs. The entire Nutrition Department welcomed the donation and were happy to pose for a group photo. They said this donation will make a huge difference for some of the families!
Amy Lecuyer, Training Manager, dropped off candy and cookies at the Life Care Center of Raynham for a very appreciative group of staff and patients. Karen Freitas, Director of Admissions, is in the photo with Amy. Nothing like satisfying a sweet tooth!
Jelssy Escano, Teller, and Digna Jhonson, Community Liaison Manager, dropped off a bag of essentials at Wood Mill Center in Lawrence. The bag is meant for a nursing patient in need. Ms. Zanini, at the nursing home say that this gesture is greatly appreciated. Since there are so many seniors that don’t get many visitors, she will make sure a few of them benefit from our gift.
